We at Park Avenue Baptist Church would like to welcome you and your family to the AWANA experience. AWANA is a Christian club that teaches Biblical truths with an emphasis on scripture memorization. There are many great things about AWANA, but its most outstanding feature is that parents and children are encouraged to spend quality time together. The motto of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. AWANA reaches this goal through a very structured and creative program and makes it fun for those involved. The greatest reward will not be the awards on their AWANA uniform, but the changes in their heart as they learn God’s scripture and His plan for their life.
We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 following the school year calendar. Our inclement weather policy echoes that of the Searcy public schools. If school is canceled or dismissed early due to inclement weather, AWANA will be dismissed likewise. Should questions arise regarding inclement weather, you may call our church office to check our schedule of services.
The AWANA program of Park Avenue Baptist Church is not a tool for taking your children or family away from your personal church. We are offering this program to anyone who would like to come with NO obligation or pressure to change church membership. If, however, your family does not attend church regularly, we offer an open invitation for you to come see our AWANA program and the other ministries offered by Park Avenue Baptist Church. AWANA nights are very exciting and busy nights and we would love for you to see what AWANA clubs are all about. We especially want to invite you to our end of the year Closing Awards Ceremony where we recognize the clubbers for their accomplishments from the year.
